Professional ethics means the set of rules of conduct (variously related to law, ethics and practice) that must be respected in the exercise of any professional activity, by virtue of registration in the professional register, and whose violation entails the application of disciplinary sanctions by the professional body to which it belongs.
The disciplinary function, in fact, is essential for the maintenance of the quality of each profession and constitutes the basis for the affirmation of the duties that each professional is required to respect.
